Meet our MBA Faculty


Amy Ho, Ph.D.
Professor of Finance

Dr. Amy Yueh-Fang Ho is an Assistant Professor in Finance. She joined the faculty of USF Sarasota-Manatee in Fall 2003. She has taught courses at the undergraduate and M.B.A. levels. Her teaching responsibilities include Principles of Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance, International Finance, Financial Statement Analysis and Money and Banking at the undergraduate level, and Financial Management and Advanced Financial Management at the M.B.A. level.

Dr. Ho earned her Ph.D. in Finance with graduate assistantship support from Drexel University in 2003. She received two Masters degrees, one in Finance with a Dean's Fellowship from Drexel University, and another in Economics from Fu-Jen Catholic University in Taipei, Taiwan. She holds her Bachelor's degree in International Trade and received Academic Achievement Awards from Tamkang University in Taipei, Taiwan.

During her doctoral program, she taught as an instructor of the Introduction to Finance and Financial Management classes. She was inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma in 2000. She received Excellent Teaching Assistant Award at Drexel University in 2003. Prior to coming to the USA, she has worked as an industry researcher for Citibank and an assistant research fellow for Chung-Hua Institute for Economic Research. She taught recitation courses in Microeconomics, Economics, and Statistics as a teaching assistant at Fu Jen Catholic University.

Dr. Ho has presented research papers in Financial Management Association, Eastern Finance Association, and Southern Finance Association conferences. Her research interests are primarily concentrated in the areas of Corporate Finance and International Finance.
